Meet Our Owner

Hi! I am Cavin Moore, an Eastern Shore of Maryland and specifically Cambridge native. I have been practicing some form of mindful movement for as long as I can remember, chiefly in the form of dance. I have been practicing Yoga for 15 years and in 2013 I decided to get certified to teach and received my RYT 200 from Every Body Yoga located in Centreville, MD.

Anahata Yoga's Story

The practice of yoga has always and continues to help me in so many ways that I thought I had better start sharing it with others as best I could! My hope for Anahata Yoga is that it can be a safe space for whatever you need it to be: community, healing, self-discovery, physical exercise, a place of stillness and quiet or maybe just a place where you can go for an hour and just be yourself.

After completing my RYT 200, I began teaching yoga throughout the Dorchester Country and Eastern Shore community and in 2016 Anahata Yoga found its brick and mortar home on Dorchester Ave in Cambridge, MD.  After continuing to take yoga out into the community, as well as providing yoga in the studio, we were settled in enough to have our official ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, Sept. 13, 2019 giving Dorchester County residents not just a yoga studio but a wellness community.

Self care is not selfish. The practice of yoga is not escapist. The practice of yoga encourages us to do the work of burning away the layers of things that do not serve us. By releasing distractions and extra noise, we can get to the heart of the matter. We clear away clutter to make space for more life. Whether it is your first time experiencing yoga or you have been practicing for years, we believe our student’s safety and well being -- physical, emotional, and mental -- is always paramount.

Welcome to Anahata Yoga!
